Welke halsband past bij mijn hond?

Which collar suits my dog?

Which Collar fits my dog?

There are more than 900 million dogs walking around the world. 900 million dogs, each with their own character, preferences and appearance, all of which should be able to return safely to their owners. A suitable collar with name and telephone number is a useful tool for this. But how do you know which collar fits your dog?

Measuring is knowing

Firstly, it is extremely important to measure your dog's neck circumference correctly, because you want a collar that fits safely and comfortably. The collar should not be too tight but certainly not too loose, because there are still too many dogs that get rid of their collar in panic and then flee. A good rule of thumb is therefore; If 2 fingers fit flat next to each other between the neck and the strap, then you have the correct size.

Watch and compare

However, it is sometimes difficult to determine whether the collar you have in mind will fit your dog. Sometimes a collar is simply too wide, too heavy or too coarse for your dog's neck. It can therefore be useful, after you have determined the neck size, to compare what size similar dogs wear. This can help you choose the right collar for your dog.
